WEBHow it all started. TextileArtist was born in 2013 when brothers Joe and Sam Pitcher witnessed something remarkable: their mum, Sue Stone, rediscovering her passion for textile art in her 50s. As a child, Sue had learned to sew from her own mum and loved to make clothes for her dolls. But life, as it often does, got in the way.

WEBJess De Wahls: The birth of my goddaughter was the event that initially triggered my love for textile art. I wanted to create something tactile, artistic and with meaning attached. It was this need that got me to pick up a needle and thread. Back then, I simply sewed funny monsters from upcycled clothing.
