Holstein answered a Youngstown State touchdown with an 82-yard strike to Lee along the sideline. It was Pitt’s longest touchdown pass since a 96-yarder from Kenny Pickett to Maurice Ffrench against Eastern Michigan during the 2019 Quick Lane Bowl.

The Pitt Panthers dominated FCS oppponent Youngstown State from start to finish, winning 73-17 at Acrisure Stadium in their final non-conference game. The win for the Panthers (4-0) keeps them undefeated in non-conference play for the first time ever,

Pitt's offense got off to the fast start it wanted to and put Youngstown State in its rearview mirror early on as Eli Holstein and Daniel Carter led the Panthers to a high-scoring victory and a 4-0 record.

In his public remarks and those made to his team in private before Pitt’s 73-17 victory Saturday against Youngstown State, Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi left no doubt that he would not tolerate a letdown by his players.

The Pitt Panthers will play in their final non-conference game of the 2024 regular season, as they host FCS program, Youngstown State on Sept. 21 at Acrisure Stadium. Pitt comes into this game 3-0 and off an important comeback against rival West Virginia at home on Sept.
