ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Pretty much every college football analyst expected Michigan football to lose to USC on Saturday, but they play the games for a reason.

As USC quarterback Miller Moss found his rhythm in the second half, the Trojans proceeded to outscore Michigan 21-6 until the game’s final minutes. The Wolverines failed to get a first down until the game-winning 10-play, 89-yard drive that took Kalel Mullings into the endzone.

Michigan State football took care of business on Saturday, beating Prairie View A&M, 40-0, securing a 3-0 start to the 2024 season and the Jonathan Smith era at Michigan State. The Spartan fans got a treat, seeing a host of Spartans play in this game, both old and young, gaining valuable experience before a road trip to Boston College next week.
