Ukraine's foreign minister said on Saturday that Russia is planning strikes on Ukrainian nuclear facilities before the winter, and urged the IAEA and Ukraine's allies to establish permanent monitoring missions at the country's nuclear plants.

Despite limited resources, Ukraine is beginning to achieve measurable results in targeting Russian logistics. However, it cannot currently rely on the freedom to use Western weapons on Russian territory.

Russia warned the West and Ukraine on Friday of "disastrous consequences" if Kyiv moved against close Russian ally Belarus, making clear it would intervene to defend a country where it has deployed tactical nuclear weapons.
