The designation recognizes schools which excel in academic performance or make significant strides in closing achievement gaps.

GEORGIA — The U.S. Department of Education (DOE) has recognized 356 schools as 2024 National Blue Ribbon Schools, including 10 schools in Georgia. According to the DOE, the prestigious recognition is for schools that excel in academic performance or “make significant strides in closing achievement gaps among different student groups.”

Two Evansville-area schools are among 16 in Indiana to earn National Blue Ribbon School status from the U.S. Department of Education.
