With Brighton boss Hurzeler sent off in a dramatic game against Forest, Assistant Manager Andrew Crofts reacted to the decision.

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler will not take any risks with the fitness of “key player” Joao Pedro and is confident other members of his squad will chip in with goals. Seagulls forward Pedro missed last weekend’s 0-0 draw at home to newly-promoted Ipswich and will be assessed ahead of Sunday’s visit of Nottingham Forest.

Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has now confirmed that Pedro will be back in training on Friday, but insisted he is unwilling to take any risks with the 22-year-old’s fitness ahead of the clash with a Forest side still on a high from their shock victory over Liverpool at Anfield last weekend.

Hurzeler on his side's goalscoring problem: "My solution is that we need to create some chances, attack the box with more players and change our attitude. We missed a step in not creating more chances against Ipswich and we're trying to work on that."

Joao Pedro was in training with Brighton on Wednesday, but manager Fabian Hurzeler was not ready to confirm the striker’s fitness for this weekend’s action. The 22-year-old was not involved last weekend as the Seagulls were held to a goalless draw by Ipswich and he missed out again on Wednesday night.
