IRVING – The westbound lanes of I-635 in Irving are open again after a deadly crash Saturday, the Texas Department of Transportation said. The highway was closed just before the MacArthur Boulevard exit. Irving police confirmed to CBS News Texas that the crash involved several cars and at least one person has died.

A multivehicle accident shut down a section of west Interstate 635 in Irving on Saturday morning. Irving police said in social media posts that westbound I-635 in Irving would be closed starting at the MacArthur exit until at least noon Saturday. It was unclear if there were fatalities.

Police say westbound I-635 in Irving is expected to be closed starting at the MacArthur Boulevard exit through at least noon Saturday.

All lanes are closed at the St. Leon exit on I-74 eastbound due to a fatal crash in Dearborn County. The Dearborn County Sheriff's Office is detouring all traffic on State Route 1 North to State Route 52 East in order to go around the closed lanes.
